Viva Las Cupcakes!

Last weekend, Highland Angel attended a fabulous Mexican dinner party with chilli con carne, frozen margaritas and a pinata for afters! Responsible for bringing dessert, we decided to experiment with some fiesta flavours - here's how we got on...

Spice Up Your Life

It's the little things that make a house a home - rearranging the furniture, a fresh lick of paint or even hanging a couple of new pictures can transform a room and make it feel brand new. We think these jar labels are brilliant - download free then print on a sheet of one-label paper and add to glass jars, tins or little ceramic pots to brighten up your kitchen.

Old Skool

My obsession with blackboard paint began just over a year ago, when I wrote this post. Twelve months later, I'm still addicted - it's simple, effective and just plain old fun - what's not to love? White walls, cream curtains and other ivory items may be considered by some to be cold, clinical (and hard to keep clean) but that couldn't be further from the truth.

"Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home."
John Howard Payne, 1823.

Whenever I find myself with a bit of spare time, one of my favourite hobbies is looking for unique ways to turn my house into a home. With hundreds of magazines and thousands of blogs to search for inspiration, my imagination is often overwhelmed by the possibilities. Recently, I've noticed one particular trend cropping up time and time again, so decided to share it with you in my first "Home Sweet Home" post.
