Pssst...

If you've never heard of Frank Warren's PostSecret then you're in for a treat. The website (www.postsecret.com) - which launched in 2005 and has since received almost 500 million hits - is an ongoing community mail art project in which people send anonymous, homemade postcards revealing their deepest, darkest secrets.

The postcards range from happy to sad, motivating to thought provoking. They are intended to be inspirational to those who read them and have healing powers for those who write them. No restrictions are placed on their content - only that it must be completely truthful and must never have been spoken before.

Every Sunday, around 20 new secrets are posted online. The concept also regularly updates its Twitter feed (www.twitter.com/postsecret) and recently launched a forum (www.postsecretcommunity.com) for fans. Unfortunately it isn't possible to search through a secrets archive, but hundreds of the best are featured in PostSecret books.
