It's hard to believe Christmas is only six weeks away, which means we have just over two weeks left before the official countdown begins! I've always liked the idea of creating my own advent calendar and have spent the last few days looking online for inspiration. There are loads of great ideas but this is my favourite so far...
Oh Happy Days' quirky Mini Tree Advent Calendar is stylish but simple to make. It can sit anywhere in your home and is easy to pack away for use year after year. Jordan has kindly provided a printable pdf of the little flags, so all you need to do is purchase the components and follow her instructions...
Here's what you'll need:
- 25 mini pine trees (available on Etsy or Amazon)
- 25 small boxes (available from craft shops or online)
- flag template (available here)
- scissors
- glue
- cute miniature car (optional)
Here's what to do:
- download and print the flag template, cut out the little flags
- bend the flags around a pen to make them wavy
- glue the end of each flag and attach it to a tree
- glue the bottom of each tree to the lid of a box
- fill the box with a surprise e.g. chocolate coins, candle, lip balm
