Ballerina Bun

{www.indulgy.com}

From the high street to Hollywood, the Ballerina Bun has without doubt been one of 2012's most popular hair styles. For those of you who don't already own a hair doughnut (where have you been?!) here's how to steal the style of A-listers like Lauren Conrad and Jessica Alba - just raid your sock drawer and let's get started!

Directions:
1. Find a sock close to your hair colour and cut off the toes.
2. Roll the sock into a doughnut shape.
3. Tie your hair into a tight, high ponytail.
4. Position the sock at the end of your ponytail, threading your hair through the centre.
5. Begin rolling the sock towards your head, allowing the ponytail to twist around the sock.
6. Continue until all your hair is wrapped round the sock. Secure any stray ends with hairclips and use hairspray to secure.

*If you struggle with the method above, or would like a neater bun, at Step 4, pull the sock down to the base of your ponytail instead, then simply tip your head forward allowing your hair to fall evenly over the sock. Begin to wrap your hair around the sock in a clockwise direction, tucking it into the base as you go.
