Matte nail varnish might have been on a mani-scene for a while but it's something I've only recently discovered and am already addicted to. It works in the same way as a gloss top coat but after application the results are drastically different.
Matte polish - available at Boots by Rimmel - offers a smart, muted look which is perfect for during the day or with an already busy outfit. I think it works best with nude or neutral shades but if you're up to the challenge, also looks great mixed with bright and glossy colours.
