The Final Countdown...
It's hard to believe Christmas is only six weeks away, which means we have just over two weeks left before the official countdown begins! I've always liked the idea of creating my own advent calendar and have spent the last few days looking online for inspiration. There are loads of great ideas but this is my favourite so far...

Happy decorating!

Peace, Love and Reindeer Hugs
The tree has been decorated, the Christmas tunes are playing and mince pies have officially become part of our daily diet but here at Highland Angel HQ we're not content twiddling our thumbs until Santa comes! This weekend we uncovered another fantastic free craft project to continue our festive fun and decided to share - just in time for the present wrapping and card sending season to commence...

Old Skool
My obsession with blackboard paint began just over a year ago, when I wrote this post. Twelve months later, I'm still addicted - it's simple, effective and just plain old fun - what's not to love? This week I created a retro school-style blackboard for my kitchen door - here's how, in our latest Make Do And Mend post...

Wax Lyrical
It's almost time to begin the official Christmas countdown but forget advent candles - it's all about vintage lace candles! Here's a project to light up the cold, dark winter nights and if you're in the mood for a fun weekend craft project, also makes a fantastic Christmas present. If you have any old scraps of lace fabric they will work well - we used paper doilies as an inexpensive alternative.

Golden Bowls
For as long as I can remember, I've had a white shell bowl sitting on my jewellery table filled with bracelets, bangles and earrings. Last week, I decided to give it a little makeover and it looks great! I'm now feeling inspired to stock up on china from charity shops and transform them into quirky Christmas presents. Here's how in our latest Make, Do and Mend post...

Polly Pocket
There are dozens of brilliant DIY and craft blogs on the internet bursting with fun, useful and inspiring projects. We loved Cathe Holden's quirky notebook idea (www.justsomethingimade.com) and decided to give it a go for our very first Make Do And Mend post. It's a great way to adapt a normal notebook but would also work well on old books.
