Go With The Fro

A new trend has arrived in Edinburgh and last weekend, Highland Angel stumbled across it. Frisky is Scotland's first frozen yoghurt shop and it's fabulous! Fruity, fresh and fat-free, this chirpy, colourful froyo emporium offers four flavours - chocolate, natural, alphonso mango and matcha green tea.

With dozens of tasty toppings, from fresh fruit or granola to chocolate brownies and rose petals, the possibilities are endless. Brightly decorated with chirpy staff, Frisky's a great addition to Edinburgh and a fantastic place for dessert.

Just Another Mani Monday...

Forget haggis, neeps and tatties - here at Highland Angel HQ we've discovered another way to celebrate Burns' Night on 25 January! The Beauty Department (www.thebeautydepartment.com) have designed a quirky tartan manicure which is perfect for Friday night. Here's how to decorate your digits... Scotch tape at the ready!

Once Bitten Forever Smitten

Highland Angel took a trip to London this weekend (lucky us!) and while wandering around Knightsbridge, wishing we could shop like Carrie Bradshaw, we stumbled across a gorgeous bakery called Cocomaya, which we simply had to share - and as the saying goes, we've bitten and we're smitten.

So Many Books, So Little Time...

When it's cold and dark outside, there's nothing nicer than snuggling up on the sofa with a cup of tea and a good story. Here at Highland Angel HQ we love sharing book recommendations and have decided to start a book club!

Finger Lickin' Good

Hooray - it's 2013 and we're back with a bang! Holidays are the perfect time to eat, drink and be merry but with a new year ahead, it's nice to have some fresh, healthy recipes to test out. Chicken pilaf is one of my favourite dishes and is something a little bit different, if you're looking for a weekend challenge or a new dinner party dish. The dish is great on its own or also served with toasted ciabatta and natural yoghurt! Enjoy!
